The “Mobile Stroke Unit” is becoming a lifesaving pioneer—this is one of the cutting-edge applications of in-vehicle MRI. By integrating mobile CT and mobile MRI (typically low-field permanent-magnet types that can be quickly activated) into specialized vehicles and linking them with laboratory testing and diagnostic systems, we’ve created a “mobile stroke rescue room.” Once a stroke patient is picked up, the ambulance can complete imaging scans en route, accurately determining whether the patient is suffering from an ischemic stroke or intracerebral hemorrhage, thereby securing the precious “golden hour” for thrombolysis or thrombectomy.
“Health Express” and Public-Interest Screening: Public-health medical teams organized by governments or enterprises use mobile MRI units to reach remote areas, providing residents with early screenings for brain and joint diseases, thereby greatly enhancing the coverage of public health services.
Responding to Public Health Emergencies: During the pandemic, mobile CT scanners have played a crucial role. Similarly, in the future, mobile MRI units can also be rapidly deployed to emergency sites or temporary medical facilities, providing essential diagnostic support.
Serving multi-site healthcare groups: A mobile MRI scanner can rotate among the various branch campuses under the healthcare group, enabling efficient resource sharing and avoiding redundant investments.
